求你指教我們怎樣屬算自己的日子，好叫我們得著智慧的心。(詩90:12)
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

親愛的主耶穌Dear Lord Jesus：

人生轉眼如一聲嘆息，在世的生命，如草、如花。對您來說，就好比一天當中的幾個小時，瞬間即逝。
The length of our days pass quickly like a sigh. Life in this world is just like grass & flower. To you, life is just like a few hours in a day.

前天清晨，老大安律的一位高中同學Nina Kim在Frankford & Tollway因開車撞上一根柱子而喪命。聽到這消息令人好難過。Nina過去在高中時是安律的好朋友，記得她常來我們家與兒子一起做功課，她也愛吃中國菜。幾星期前，她還來過我們家，我們聊了一會兒，我問她上college的情形等等。她甜美的笑容還印在我的腦海中，沒想到現在已再也看不到這女孩了。
Two days ago in the early morning, my oldest son Eric’s high school mate Nina Kim died in a single car accident on Frankford Road near toll way. She lost control of her car and hit a utility pole. Nina was Eric’s good friend. I remember that she used to come to our house and did homework with Eric. She also liked to eat Chinese food. She even came to our house a few weeks ago. We chatted for a while about her college life. Her sweet smile is still in my memory, but now I cannot see this young lady anymore.

主啊！越來越能體會生命的脆弱，世上的一切，都是如此的虛空！若生命中沒有您，若不是用您的智慧來數算日子，那人生實在很沒有意義。當孩子知道一切世上的年日是連結到永恆時，才明白活著是為了您。活著是與您的計劃有份，活著是為了榮耀您，活著是以您為中心。在世的一切，不過是永恆當中的序幕而已。Lord! Now I understand more and more about how fragile life is. Everything in this world is so meaningless! If we do not number our days with your wisdom, life becomes truly meaningless. When I understand that life in this world is connected to the eternity, I realize that the reason to live is for the sake of you. To live is to be part of your plan. To live is to glorify you. To live is to have you in the center. Everything in this world is nothing but a prelude of eternity.

主啊！求您藉著此次的悲劇，讓年輕人能好好思想生命的意義。生命雖短暫，死亡似乎就在轉角，但信靠您的有一份確據，就是永生。有誰敢誇口自己在世有多少日子？而在世的年日又當如何度過呢？重點是能每日存著一顆敬畏您、愛您的心，活著單單為您，活出討您喜悅的生命，讓您的話語成為人生的方向。知道人來到這世上，是與您永恆的計劃有關，完成您所託付的使命，這樣在世的生命不論是多少年，都是一個有意義的生命。
Lord! Please let the young people think about the meaning of life through this tragedy. Although life is short and death seems like just at the corner, whoever believes in you has the assurance of eternal life. Who dare to brag about the length of his life in the world? How should we live in our daily life? The most important thing is to live with a fearful heart to you and to love you. To Live out of the life to please you and let your words be the direction of life. The life in this world is connected to the plan of your eternal life and to fulfill your commission. Thus, life is meaningful no matter how long it is.

主啊！生命在您，復活也在您。就讓孩子過好每一天，懂得數算您的恩典，珍惜您放在我身邊周圍的人，為您傳福音、成為您的鹽與光。
Lord! You are the resurrection and the life. I want to live in you day by day and know how to count your blessing. I want to treasure the people you put around me. I want to pass the good news and be your light and salt.
